Skin Assessment Clinic – Now Available
Candover Clinic are now offering fast access to clinical assessments of any cysts, warts, skin tags, lipomas, lesions or moles. This new service is led by Dr Alison Johnstone, Private GP.
What can be removed
If you have any lesions, moles, lumps or bumps that you would like to be reviewed by a medical professional contact us for a rapid assessment. You will be provided with a questionnaire to complete and return along with a photograph of the lesion.

Review Process
Your information will be reviewed by Dr Johnstone or one of our other highly qualified specialists quickly and you will be advised of the recommended course of action:
- In person – attendance and clinical assessment by Dr Johnstone
- As appropriate – booking of a removal/treatment appointment or referral
- Referral to a private specialist such as a Dermatologist or other appropriate consultant
- Optional referral to your NHS GP for clinical issues treated by the NHS
Outpatient Procedure
All our minor outpatient procedures take place in our Minor Procedures Unit at Candover Clinic. These procedures are performed under local anaesthetic. The area around the mole or skin tag is made numb with an injection. The mole or skin tag can be shaved or cut out and a dressing is applied to the affected area. If necessary you may require a few stitches.
