What are you doing to keep patients safe during Covid-19?
All our imaging equipment is being thoroughly cleaned between patients with disinfectant proven to be effective against Covid-19. We have extended appointment times to facilitate deep cleaning. All patients are screened prior to their visit to ensure that they are symptom free and have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms. All of our Radiographers have now received both doses of their Covid-19 vaccinations.
Can I refer myself for a scan?
This is not something we currently offer here at Candover Clinic. We are very happy to accept referrals from your NHS GP and will guide you through the process of doing so. Alternatively, we have a dedicated private GP on site, please speak to our enquiry team on 01256 315010 for more information.
I have seen a Consultant elsewhere, will you accept a referral?
If you have seen a GMC registered clinician in a CQC registered hospital or clinic (NHS or Private) we will usually be able to accept their referral. They can send this securely to hh-ft.imaging.candover@nhs.net. We can then contact you to arrange a convenient appointment.
How long are your waiting times?
For x-ray and CT examinations, we are usually able to book appointments within just a few days. For MRI and Ultrasound appointments, we normally have appointments available within 1 week of receiving your referral.
Do you offer weekend and evening appointments?
We are able to offer evening and weekend appointments (subject to availability) for routine MRI scans. For all other imaging, we offer appointments throughout each weekday, including early morning and evening appointments. Just get in touch and we will arrange something at a time to suit you.
