Insured Patients must obtain authorisation from their insurance company for the consultation prior to the visit. We are not able to obtain this for you. A referral from your GP will be required for authorisation.
Prior to your consultation your will be asked to provide:
- Insurer Name
- Policy Number
- Pre-authorisation Number
Please note that following your consultation complex tests such as CT and MRI scans may need to be authorised separately. We recommend you familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions of your policy and ensure you have sufficient coverage for treatment.
When requesting pre-authorisation you should state that your treatment will be provided by Hampshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust at Candover Clinic, which is part of the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
All treatment at Candover is available on a self-funding basis, including consultations, diagnostic tests, imaging, procedures and inpatient stays. Candover offers self-pay fixed price packages for most procedures and inpatient stays. This includes general and respite care.
Self-paying patients are required to settle their bill on the day of treatment, diagnostic test or 7-days prior to admission for inpatient stays. Consultations are invoiced separately by your consultant.
We accept cash, all major debit/credit cards, personal cheques drawn on a UK bank and electronic transfers.
At Candover Clinic we are modernising the way that we register our patients. We are now able to offer you paperless and contact free registration using any browser on your mobile device or computer.
The new digital registration document replaces the paper registration form previously required for every visit to our hospitals. We are asking you to provide your funding source and agree terms for a period of 12 months by reviewing and completing the new online electronic registration form.
