Professor John Ramaga qualified in 1978 from London University. He trained in Portsmouth, Brighton, McMaster University, Canada and King’s College London. He joined the team in Basingstoke in 1994 as a Consultant Physician in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology and Director or Research and Development at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Professor Ramage is an experienced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopist performing upper GI endoscopy, banding of varices, dilatations, ERCP, colonoscopy and polypectomy; liver biopsies and capsule endoscopies and has reported more than 500 capsule endoscopies.
