Dr Thomas Bloomfield

Dr Tom Bloomfield is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthetics, with his NHS practice based in Hampshire Hospitals. 
He gained first class honours in Medical Sciences at the University of Oxford and a distinction in Clinical Medicine at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ (GKT), London.

He holds Fellowship status with both the Faculty of Pain Medicine and the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Throughout his career he has been awarded several prizes and awards for teaching, clinical performance and research.

Dr Bloomfield is an expert in diagnosing and treating a wide range of pain conditions, including complex back pain, neuropathic pain, migraines, fibromyalgia and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). He employs a holistic approach, considering all treatment options, to provide personalised and tailored care to each patient’s needs.

Dr Bloomfield is committed to innovation in healthcare. He was selected onto the inaugural NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme. His expertise and considerable network gained over many years of innovation and research, ensures he remains at the forefront of emerging technology and treatments. He actively uses these advances, including AI and virtual reality, to transform patients’ pain journeys.
